Happy Clutter is honored to present Ruth Kolman Brophy, an award winning artist, as our Featured Crafter of the month. Ruth's paintings, prints and digital works use intense color and swooping meandering lines to impart joy, love and a zest for life. Her figures will make you wonder if you've actually seen that person before, maybe yesterday, or maybe its a historical likeness, while her flowers will bring a whimsical light to any collection, and her abstracts will have you smiling as your gaze follows the circles, swooping lines, squares and all too different shapes.
Antonio Brassea was born in the U.S. to Italian immigrants from a small, mountain town in Northern Italy who came to American by ship in the early 1900’s, and were three (with Antonio's older brother Gianni) of the thousands who passed through Ellis Island, New York. While growing up Antonio developed a love of art, but unfortunately due to family and personal tragedies and obligations, obtaining an education in it was not possible. But that never stopped him from privately continuing to create his art.
