It's the Middle of Summer Already!
Hi All, Sorry we haven't written in a while, but we've been so busy we haven't had time to barely take a breath. So, what have we been up to? Well, we're looking at lots of new ideas to bring you, and lots of products that will soon be appearing here for you to buy. Gifts, jewelry, craft supplies, etc.
Liz and hubby went on a jaunt to Texas and bought a motorcycle, then rode it all the way back to Arizona in over 105 degree heat. Yes, crazy!!!! That's how to turn your head into a hard boiled egg. But they had fun, especially touring the Alamo and dining at San Antonio's River Walk.
And while she was doing that, I was visiting family in California, then Washington and then Jack and I went to Idaho to have our Chihuahua's leg operated on. I never knew where Ketchum, Idaho was...now I know....in the middle of NOWHERE. I mean, it was beautiful country, but we drove, and drove, and drove. Farmland as far as the eye could see. I feared we'd run out of gas before we got there, and we almost did. Luckily there was this funky little old gas station and general store in the middle of all this farmland or we might have been stuck out there and turned into mummies. hehe.
But now we're both back in Arizona and the weather is really crazy. It can be 110 all day, and pouring cats and dogs all night, with thunder as loud as you can stand it and lighting snapping through the sky. I guess Thor is upset. haha.
Anyway the other night I was watching a Hallmark movie and lighting struck so high that I nearly jumped off the sofa. My family room lit up like it had been invaded by the sun, and I swear that bolt was right on my patio. Neighbors lost a tree just on the other side of their fence, it just toppled over and lay there on its side. In an adjoining neighborhood they lost ten trees. Skies are still cloudy today, but its 90 degrees outside and no rain.
And I've been busy planning our trip to Italy. Me and Jack, not me and Liz. She gets to stay home and keep Happy Clutter up to date. Anyway, I've been knee deep in planning... booking hotels, tours, cars, trains, flights, restaurants. We're going with friends, but all the planning and reservations have been designated to me, but I'm not complaining, I love it. Maybe I should have been a travel agent, but I think it's fun because its for me, not someone else. Can't wait for September to get here, that's when we're going. Home, Home, Home. For me anyway. I get to see family again, visit where my family's roots are again, and just relish being there. I wish I could stay there for a couple of years, but my husband isn't fond of that idea so, Arizona it is.
On another note, Liz and I have been looking at some interesting home shows and hope to bring you a lot of decorating ideas soon.
Oh, and as a last short note, I mentioned I've been watching the Hallmark channel. Well, if you want to see a good movie, go there. I just watched one with Candace Cameron Bure. And Tom Skerrit. And Oliver Hudson. Oh my, it was soooo good. Journey back to Christmas. It's a really good, heartwarming movie. I loved it so much I watched it twice.
