Happy, Happy....Merry, Merry!
Christmas…New Years…….Ahh, the holidays are quickly approaching. Is everyone ready? If you’re like us here at HC, the answer is probably NO! I was out shopping the other day, out of the parking lot onto the street and…….came to an abrupt stop. Traffic was going nowhere fast. It was so bad the street lights had been deactivated and police were directing traffic. Needless to say, the next store on my list to stop had, did not happen. Instead, I headed home. But, the next morning I was out bright and early to try again, and that worked. Get out there before the big crowds, get the shopping done, and get home. And, I even had time to have lunch at Mesa Mart and be seranaded by a group reminiscent of the Beach Boys. Heck of a lot of fun on a “shopping break”. And, I finished my shopping, getting some really great gifts at reasonable prices. So, now it’s onto planning my holiday with family. Big family. But we always have fun. Lots to eat, and fun. That makes for a great Christmas. Then it will be New Years Eve, and friends will be coming to my house, including Liz. Yes, we are all celebrating at my house, eats, drinks, good conversation and a toast to the New Year. And since we all live close to each other, it shouldn’t be a dangerous drive home for anyone. In fact, a number of our guest can walk home! I have my Xmas tree up, my house decorated, (I actually have more than one tree….I love Christmas). We have one 8 foot tree, decorated with ornaments from many, many of the places around the world we’ve visited. Then I have two little trees (little is so cute), and half a dozen Santas around the house, my mom’s manger, bubble lights on the mantel, blinking lights, angels, Christmas teddy bears, and the latest gift from my hubby, a talking Christmas Duck. He is so cute. You talk to him, he does a little jiggle dance and then talks back. You can’t help but roll with laughter. Anyway, this is just a short note to wish all of you A Very Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year.
Now it’s back to my craft making, my oil painting, and my preparations for the big Days.
So…..Merry, Merry and Happy, Happy…….until Next Year!
P.S. If you love craft shows, watch our site because Happy Clutter is going to be doing craft shows next year, and we just might be in your area!!!!!
